About Richard

Richard M. Mausner, Esq. is of counsel at Mausner Graham Injury Law PLLC, where he brings more than 45 years of legal experience in trusts & estates, elder law, real estate, including transactions & land use. A second-generation attorney, Richard supports MGIL clients by offering personalized estate planning and financial guidance, especially for those who have received significant legal settlements and want to ensure their compensation is protected, structured, and used wisely.

At the firm, Richard plays a critical role in helping clients navigate what comes after a successful case. Whether it’s establishing a trust, creating a will, or advising on long-term asset protection, he helps clients understand how to manage their settlement proceeds with confidence and foresight. His work ensures that clients can preserve their financial recovery and make thoughtful decisions for their families’ futures.

Beyond his role at MGIL, Richard has a longstanding practice in New Jersey and continues to maintain offices in Secaucus and Holmdel. He has deep experience in estate and trust administration, fiduciary services, guardianships, probate litigation, and commercial real estate law. He is frequently appointed by New Jersey courts as guardian ad litem, court appointed counsel for incapacitated persons, as fiduciary as well as condemnation commissioner.

Richard earned his B.A. from The George Washington University and his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey (since 1980) and Florida (2025). He is also a frequent public speaker on elder law and estate planning, addressing audiences at senior centers, religious institutions, and community groups.

Known for his thoughtful and compassionate approach, Richard takes time to listen to client concerns, ask the right questions, and tailor each plan to meet the specific goals, concerns, and values of the individuals and families he serves.
