“It is a great honor to fight on behalf of our clients. They turn things over to us during hard times, and we do what it takes to make things right and force those accountable to take responsibility.”
About Thomas
Thomas D. Graham is known for taking on challenging and unique cases as he delivers exceptional results for those who need them most. He has significant experience handling all types of personal injury and wrongful death claims, including automobile and trucking collisions, premises liability matters, sexual assault cases, maritime injuries and deaths, medical malpractice cases, and products liability actions.
Tom has a special background in admiralty and maritime cases, including the representation of injured passengers, crew members, and maritime workers sailing from Florida’s shores and internationally. He has handled legal proceedings in Europe and Asia and regularly represents injured foreign crew-members in international arbitrations. Tom is highly experienced in maritime medical malpractice cases where sick and injured individuals are not adequately diagnosed, treated, or evacuated from cruise ships and other vessels traveling around the world. As Chair of the Florida Bar Admiralty Committee, Tom is passionate about maritime law and educating others on its intricacies. He is asked to speak and present continuing legal education seminars several times a year on the topic of cruise line injuries, boating collisions, and changes and developments in plaintiff’s admiralty and maritime law.
His advocacy doesn’t stop at sea; Tom routinely represents individuals who are injured or die because of inadequate medical care, treatment, and missed diagnosis at hospitals and healthcare treatment centers located in Florida and throughout the United States. He has successfully handled multiple cases involving the wrongful administration of medication resulting in death, as well as cases involving the wrongful or negligent discharge of individuals from substance abuse treatment centers.
Tom is a powerful advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault. He believes in holding institutions accountable when they have failed their students, customers, passengers, or guests and works hard to make sure that his clients get the justice they deserve.
Tom has a wide range of experience in product liability matters, including cases involving defective bicycles, windows, and electrical components. He thrives on the intricate nature of these cases, delving into the minutiae that often play a pivotal role in their outcomes.
Within the last few years alone, Tom has recovered many millions for his clients injured in automobile, trucking, commercial vehicle collisions, sexual assaults, and product liability cases.
Before founding Mausner Graham Injury Law, Tom had the opportunity to try civil cases in nearly every Florida Circuit Court. He also began his career as a prosecutor with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he was responsible for the prosecution of felony criminal cases. It was at the prosecutor’s office that Tom and Eric met. During his service as a prosecutor, Tom tried over 25 jury trials and over 100 bench trials. He served as the Assistant Chief of Miami-Dade County Court. Before representing plaintiffs, Tom gained experience on the defense side of civil claims. Now, Tom applies the knowledge and skills he learned early in his career to help represent those that have been seriously injured through no fault of their own.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tom is licensed to practice law in Florida and Pennsylvania. He was honored to receive the top score on the February 2011 Florida Bar Exam.
Tom is a graduate of the Gerry Spence Method 3-week trial advocacy program, and the Gerry Spence Method advanced advocacy graduate program, which are considered the most rigorous and prestigious trial training programs available to plaintiff lawyers.
Tom’s dedication to the legal profession is evident in his leadership roles within the legal community at the local, state, and national level. He is also a writer and speaker on Personal Injury and Maritime Law. Thomas D. Graham is not just an attorney; he’s a powerful advocate committed to making a difference in the lives of those he represents.
