Justin M. Guido is a partner at Mausner Group Injury Lawyers PLLC. In this capacity, he litigates personal injury lawsuits from inception through mediation and trial on behalf of the injured. Justin is adept at handling all personal injury matters including motor vehicle crashes such as truck crashes and motorcycle accidents, premises liability cases including slip/trip and falls, maritime incidents including cruise ship injuries and boating collisions, sexual assault cases, wrongful death cases, brain injury cases, burn injury cases, and other personal injury cases involving complex and catastrophic injuries.
Prior to becoming a plaintiffs’ personal injury lawyer, Justin worked as a state prosecutor and civil defense attorney. As a prosecutor for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Justin conducted numerous bench trials and jury trials. He obtained an all-count guilty verdict in a local high-profile case, which was the subject of a news article featured in the Miami Herald. Justin now uses his courtroom and trial skills advocating for injury victims with the goal of attaining justice.
While working as a civil defense attorney and partner at a mid-sized, regional law firm, Justin gained first-hand insight into the basic strategies and tactics employed by big corporations and insurance companies in defending against personal injury lawsuits. Having sat on the defense side of the courtroom for many years, he is intimately familiar with the general playbook used by big business and big insurance in handling personal injury lawsuits. In his capacity as a civil litigation attorney, Justin handled all aspects of civil litigation from case inception through trial including case investigation, depositions, mediation, arbitration, and various types of court hearings. He also trained and supervised junior lawyers in day-to-day case handling. Justin uses this knowledge to help injury victims successfully navigate personal injury cases and obtain fair compensation.
Justin’s passion for advocacy and the law precedes his career as a lawyer. Prior to attending law school, Justin worked alongside federal prosecutors in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington DC.
Justin M. Guido earned his B.A. from The George Washington University and his J.D. from Pace University School of Law. He lives in Miami, Florida. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York and Washington DC.
